Facing the Interview Board - Right Approach Introduction The employment-selection interview is a personality test and not a test of candidate's intelligence or knowledge of academic or other subjects. In this interview the candidate is required to present his views or ideas in a confident and convincing manner, after grasping the essential of the question posed to him. The board will subtly draw out the candidate and help him to open out himself. The candidate has to amplify and justify his views, comments, etc., in a rational and logical manner. The personality test / interview is not an objective type test and the questions cannot be answered with mere 'yes' or 'no' statements. You should have the courage to express your views with candour. Infact, forthright presentation of views is possible only when you are sincere in your approach and attitudes. By being bold you have nothing to lose, but a world to win. Boldness alone sustains confidence. |
